Does Taskalfa 3252ci Feed Tray Open

What are the settings in the web management console for that tray?

Well, it says cassette 1, 2, and then MP tray. I assume it's MP tray?

MP tray is the bypass on the side. Maybe tray 3 isn't recognized?

it has to do with the paper size/type assigned to the tray in the copier settings.

You must tell it that 8x11 or whatever paper actually can be found in that tray.

it is probably currently set to another size, such as A4.  Or it can even be as if it is set to hold 'Labels' or 'Thick Paper 1' etc.  it needs to be set to '8x11 regular paper' or whatever you are actually using in that tray.

So when your print job hits the printer, it says " hey my job needs 8x11 paper, which tray has 8x11 paper?'  and since the tray is set to a different size, it is ignored.

Here is what our 820 looks like from the web interface. You canset whatever tray you want as default.

It's flat out not listed. But when we unhook the main cover on the side of cassette 3, it starts beeping at me.

Only applies to printing. Most Kyocera drivers (KX version) can poll the machine to retrieve all options, with your LCT (Large Capacity Tray) is. Right click driver, Printer Properties, Device Setting Tab.... either enable LCT or click Auto Config button.

Also, as a previous person stated, the SIZE and TYPE have to match the driver vs the machine.

Is this not something i can set up through the web console? I don't want to have to reinstall all the drivers on all the machines that use this one... And we have the same problem on the 2nd machine as well. It doesn't make sense that the driver options would have anything to do with the web console showing that cassette 3 is not attached.

Does the screen on the front of the printer tell you Tray 3 is open when it is beeping? The management interface should see a tray if it is installed correctly. Do you have a managed print service with support?

Did not realize the web showed as not there. Sounds like either the tray has been disabled or is not corrected configured. Can you copy from tray 3?

I think we had a 4050 or similar that would not recognize the tray if the settings with the switches and sliders in the tray were off just a little bit.

When i went into the properties of the printer, the "cassette 3, 4" option had a big red X in the box that we should be able to put a check mark... So we're just having the people we lease the printer from come check it out, which is what i wanted to avoid.

Oh well, it's friday and i don't care anymore. IT'S THA WEEKEND!!!!! Thanks for the help!

One way of seeing if the machine thinks it has the LCT, can you copy from the 3rd tray?
